I posted a 30 day yoga summary in my IG stories yesterday, but I thought I’d post here too to make it official. Although I didn’t do yoga every day for 30 days, (and really got off track during Christmas weekend. No to yoga. Yes to my new dachshund scarf! and movies! and snacks!) I did it enough that it’s becoming part of my routine. Going forward I plan to attend two yoga classes per week and am looking forward to the benefits that will bring. 🧘🏻♀️👈🏼that’s me!
Yoga: Day 21 of 21. As a fitness professional, I’m often working when classes are offered so it’s hard to fit formal classes into my schedule. A class time that often works is noon, but not really, because I also like to spend time preparing nice lunches. So today I skipped a formal class and found time for 15 minutes on the mat. 🧘🏻♀️
Yoga: Day 20 of 20 was the day we learned that if we wanted to post a picture on Instagram we should have picked the square option right from the start. That may have made this picture of @jessecalebdavis and me creeping on @amie_rader just a tad bit better. Maybe. 😉Great class, Amie. Thank you. 🙏🏻
Yoga: Day 19 of 19 was a super sweaty Power 1.5 at @powerlifeyoga where I began to notice a significant change in my flexibility. Guys, it’s happening!!! and now I’m out with @lets_get_trivial for a trivia game, of course! Happy, Tuesday!😘
Yoga: Day 18 of 18 and I’m back at it. Check out my IG stories where I talk about why I missed 3 days of yoga (spoiler alert: there’s no good reason) because of a super fun party with these beauts on Friday night where I said “hello 🍷!” and “goodbye weekend!” 🌈Thankfully, I feel like a person today and I can get back to all my #healthy #goals.
Yoga: Day 14 of 14. This is what my face looks like when I stretch my quads even though I think I’m supposed to “breathe through it”. 🙄
Yoga: Day 13 of 13 was a lovely private session with @jessecalebdavis where we learned WE HAVE THE EXACT SAME TATTOO THAT WE BOTH GOT AS WEE 18 YEAR OLDS so....👯♀️
Yoga: Day 12 of 12 was Stretch class at @citygymkc. We used the #trx to assist with pigeon and runners lunge and I liked that variation. We also did a seated side bend and my side was all like, “no thanks, lady!” and I was like “but we got to, girl.”
Yoga: Day 11 of 11 happened today at @powerlifeyoga at the Power Restore class. During class we hold poses like a seated forward fold for a very long time and that’s exactly what my body needs after this weekend. Happy Monday, friends!
Yoga: Day 10 of 10. Today I did the ole 15 min in the kitchen focusing on my sore low back and traps. Working out at home has always been impossible for me because of this little friend of mine and today was no different. She was hilariously attempting to get into every nook and cranny of each pose-squeezing in-trying to get close to me. It was ver ver cute. I tried to IG story about it...not very zen but 🤷🏻♀️
Yoga: Day 9 of 9 did not happen. I participated in a #CrossFit competition at @skyslimitcrossfit and spent the day trying not to puke. @kilos_for_kathy Yoga will resume tomorrow. 📸cred: @pook0218
